mactavish tells me that the famed Diet Coke and Mentos experiment (me too lazy to link tonight -- if you have not seen it, a search on YouTube will bring it up right quick) is being....recreated? deconstructed? on Mythbusters tonight on the Discovery Channel.

simplykimberly and livefalcon and choirboypuppy and I successfully conducted not only the standard experiment, but the ultimate "what if?" follow-up experiment a few months back. Hey simplykimberly -- it appears that we really lucked out.
