Why buy expensive pet toys?

My dogs and kittens love playing with eggplant. Admittedly, it does evoke a certain "eeew-what-IS-that-on-the-living-room-rug" response.

Dear, please make life a TAD easier on yourself and buy a Kong or two.

They have two Kongs. Among the four of them, they have Kongs and Booda Bones and Chewmans and tennis balls and any number of fuzzy catnip-whelmed kittie toys and an orange and green poofball on a spring attached to a carpet-covered brick, fergawdsake.

They prefer eggplant.

They can have all my eggplant. Always.

That stuff is evil. It is not for human consumption. They may have as much of mine as they want. Good luck with the fuzzy critters!

One of my crowning culinary moments was when the residents of the group home I worked at were planning the week's menu, and one of the clients asked for my eggplant parmesan. I was so proud...
