To the cat lovers of LJ,, from a friend on another list

Hi-

I am preparing to leave the Bay Area early next month. This move is a
soul journey for me. Because my life is involving major travel (50% of
the time), I am in the process of searching for new homes for my pets.
I am writing to as your help in finding a new home for Merlyn, who is
a bit of a miracle kitty.

Merlyn is a sweet, predominantly outdoor cat who loves attention. I am
looking for a new home for him because he has a heart condition which
makes driving him cross country too much of a gamble and because of my
extensive travel. (Merlyn was diagnosed with heart condition 7 years
ago and has been beating all odds in living a vibrant life 6 years
longer than Cal Davis vet school predicted for him). Our vet is now
predicting up to 6 more years ahead of him.

Merlyn’s medical needs are simple – he has pills crushed into his
food twice daily. I am offering to pay all or part of his costs for
life. My goal is simply to find him a good home.

Merlyn is a neutered male grey tabby (short hair).

He is a very affectionate, low maintenance heart on two legs who will
bring joy to his new home. I would be very, very grateful if you would
reach into your networks of friends to help me find him a loving home.
