Holy crap. My esteemed alma mater, American University (at which I attended the Washington College of Law), has canned yet another sleazy president. This one was tossed for stealing from university accounts to the tune of hundreds of thousands of dollars -- over and above his $600K+ annual salary -- to fund household purchases and a 13-course meal for his son's engagement party. He's been in office since 1994 or thereabouts. The president before him lost his job when he made a series of obscene phone calls from his campus phone number to women who had placed babysitting ads in local newspapers.

The amazing thing is that I found out about the latest mess in a letter from the Alumni Department soliciting contributions from me.

Yeah, right. Maybe when you guys stop choosing your leaders by soliciting resumes on sleazeball.com.
