Hooray! My sister -- who is a vet tech, a veterinary rehab specialist, and (if possible) even more of a dog person than I am -- is going to take Little One for the weekend while I'm away. She may even take her on a permanent basis if I decide not to. She's been thinking about adopting a toy terrier.

I'm thrilled. I am getting quite attached to the little girl, but she's underfoot and I'm constantly afraid that I'm going to squash her. I know that she'd be well and thoroughly loved and cared for if my sister were to adopt her.

Sounds perfect! And if you ever want to see her again, you would know exactly where to visit :).

BTW...did you not say the same about the big dogs when they were pups...not to mention your kid? :)
